Since 2003, I have been working at NCLT—in multiple capacities—helping low-income families purchase CLT homes and to navigate the various issues with property taxation and assessment of their homes. Additionally, I have been intimately involved in the welfare exemption process for NCLT’s affordable housing rental properties. Because of my experience over the years with disparate treatments of assessment and taxation of CLT homes, I have been part of the California CLT Network's Policy Committee pushing for a legislative solution to bring consistency and equitable treatment for CLT properties.
I am currently the Director of Operations & Development of the Northern California Land Trust, and a co-founder of both the Bay Area Consortium of Community Land Trusts, and of the California Community Land Trust Network.
