Director of State & Local Policy
Sasha Hauswald has over 10 years of experience crafting and implementing housing policies and programs. Her expertise spans the housing and planning fields, from zoning issues to affordable ownership program design. She is the Director of State and Local Policy for Grounded Solutions Network and in that capacity she leads a national effort to implement policies that promote inclusion, equity and opportunity. Prior to joining the team at Grounded Solutions, Sasha was the Public Policy Manager for the San Francisco Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development where she led special projects on a diversity of housing policy issues. Since joining Grounded Solutions Network, she has assisted organizations and city staff from dozens of municipalities including New York, New Orleans, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh and Detroit. Sasha holds a Master of Public Policy Degree from the Goldman School of Public Policy at U.C. Berkeley and a BA in psychology from Wesleyan University.
