As Director of the Citi Office of Homeownership Preservation (OHP), Hala manages National Nonprofit partners and advocates, supporting their efforts to find alternatives to foreclosure. OHP plans and implements strategies that facilitate the responsible disposition of REO’s, support the development and sustainability of policies, practices and programs that promote affordable sustainable homeownership, community stabilization, and blight abatement. Hala began her career in housing and finance working as a CRA Mortgage Lending Officer, and then provided housing counseling at NHS of NYC for eight years.

Hala serves on the NCHEC Advisory Council, the National Industry Standards Committee, HomeFree USA Board, and is a proud member of a couple of NHSNYC committees.
