This session extends the keynote speech and focuses on local practices of neighborhood opportunity through several lenses, including using data to drive decision-making through academic and practitioner partnerships and regional fair housing planning initiatives. Presenters will share their experience on converting complex opportunity frameworks into a manageable tool for nonprofit housing providers, how the practice of identifying opportunity neighborhoods is incorporated into the larger goal of using data analytics to scale operations and preserve inclusive communities in South Florida, and how the Communities of Opportunity Initiative provided by King County Government in the State of Washington transcends from specific communities into a larger regional system.
