Are you managing a portfolio of homeownership units in a community land trust (CLT)? Join Grounded Solutions Network staff for some good news – there are new CLT-specific resources that will increase access to federal funding, recent changes that will improve access to mortgage financing, and CLT-driven innovations that will help the field. During this webinar, we will premiere a HOME Rider for the 2011 Model Ground Lease, review Fannie Mae’s recently updated Selling Guide, and discuss new opportunities that Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and other partners are supporting to drive innovation and growth in the field.


These updates are especially important for CLTs because:

  1. HOME is the dominant federal source of funding for CLTs, and the new rider will enable compliance with HOME rules during the required period.
  2. The Fannie Mae Selling Guide updates will simplify the CLT organizational eligibility requirements, reducing practitioner and lender work, and streamlining access to Fannie Mae products for CLT homeowners.
  3. Beyond these tools, we want to discuss new innovations and opportunities to think creatively about scaling CLT homeownership and increasing our impact in pursuit of racial justice through CLTs.
