Description
This introductory level course is for policy makers, funders, community members and anyone interested in learning more about limited equity cooperatives. Learn more about the co-op model and the cooperative movement in this participatory course. Housing cooperatives play a critical role in preserving affordable homeownership opportunities especially in dense urban areas where single-family homes are out of reach of low and moderate income people. Housing cooperatives not only provide lasting affordability, but also create community among the members, encourage resource sharing and significantly reduce the carbon footprint of the residents.
