Rita has over 25 year years of experience serving organizations in the mortgage finance and banking industries with strategies, business planning, policy development, technology implementation, marketing, and process change. Currently, she manages Fannie Mae's Single Family Affordable Housing Preservation initiatives under the Duty to Serve market plan, of which key components include support for shared equity homeownership programs, as well as for residential energy and water efficiency improvements and the purchase and rehabilitation of distressed properties. Additionally, her work encompasses other affordable housing efforts. She worked for several years on Fannie Mae’s loss mitigation strategies and programs and has prior management consulting experience with a variety of clients and projects. Rita holds a bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies from Brown University and a MBA from Georgetown University.
