Brenda Torpy has 40 years of experience in the affordable housing field starting with community organizing, rural community development and affordable housing advocacy in northern Vermont. As the Community and Economic Development Office's first housing Director for the City of Burlington, Brenda worked on the development of the Burlington CLT, now Champlain Housing Trust, and served as its first board president. In 1991, she joined the staff as Executive Director. She serves on the Board of Grounded Solutions Network, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston’s Affordable Housing Advisory Council, is a recent past member of the Vermont Governor’s Housing Council, and of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston’s Community Development Advisory Council.
