Duffie is a 37-year Flagstaff resident. She came to study ceramics and stayed to preserve Flagstaff’s precious historic resources. She worked at the Museum of Northern Arizona in Anthropology Collections, and with the Native American Craftsman Exhibitions. She spearheaded creating the local Townsite Historic Residential Overlay District for a National Register Historic District, is recording oral histories in the Townsite neighborhood, and founded the Flagstaff Townsite Historic Properties Community Land Trust for which she currently serves as the ED. She has served on the SW Oral History Board, Arizona Historical Society Northern Chapter Board, and the Townsite CLT Board. Her degrees in studio art, geography, and applied cultural anthropology and museum studies have proven to be useful for making Flagstaff a better place. She has also worked at the Public Library for almost three decades.
