Matthew Barry is the Chief Impact Office at Gary Community Investments, which includes The Piton Foundation, where he leads efforts to design and implement a framework to assess the impact and effectiveness of investments, strengthens research and knowledge management capabilities and aids ongoing strategy development.  Matthew also serves as Principal of Engagement for Shift Research Lab and is focused on sustainability and market development of the program which provides reliable, objective data and analysis to social change organizations to inform their decision-making process with sound insight. More broadly, Matthew’s interests include advancing social change by designing solutions (or stealing them), inventing, imagining, and innovating, ultimately leaving the world in a better place than when he arrived. Inside and outside of work, he is actively involved in supporting community change at the grassroots level. Matthew holds a Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado-Denver.
