Session Details: Intersections 2018

This intermediate level course is for nonprofit board members, potential board members, residents and staff responsible for working with a board. The community land trust tripartite board structure presents a unique set of strengths and challenges for recruiting, training and integrating individuals who come to the board from different backgrounds and with different interests. This course will examine strategies that have proven effective in building nonprofit boards that are cooperative, cohesive, effective and productive. While the basis of this course is the CLT governance model, lessons and discussion will be applicable to a wider range of board structures.
