Ashon Nesbitt is an affordable housing professional, with both public and private sector experience, and expertise in affordable housing development and finance. Ashon’s experience includes work administering local government programs; compliance, investment analysis, construction and risk management for low income tax credit development. Ashon has experience working directly with all parties involved in affordable housing, including government agencies, lenders, investors, contractors and property managers, and working with a variety of funding sources at the federal, state and local levels. Ashon currently serves as lead technical advisor for the Florida Community Land Trust Institute, working with local governments and nonprofits to educate communities on the community land trust model, and establish and build the capacity of community land trusts statewide. Ashon also works heavily with nonprofit capacity building and local governments on regulatory and land use tools to support affordable housing development.
