At the IGNITE! Community Pitch Fest, Members and Allies from around the world will share three-minute presentations that highlight transformative innovations, wins and game changers. Finalists will be invited to “make their pitch” at Intersections 2017 and to compete for the coveted “Voters Choice” award.'
This year, we’re excited to announce that IGNITE! nominations from North America will also be considered for the World Habitat Award—a global competition that recognizes exceptional leaders solving today’s most pressing housing challenges.
Submitting a nomination is easy and you can nominate yourself or someone else. We’re simply looking for a 2-3 sentence description of a program or project from the past 10 years that excites you. The scale can be big or small but, either way, it should be a game changer.
Specifically, we’re looking to highlight innovative ways that Members and Allies:
- Advance housing justice
- Grow programmatic impact
- Overcome challenges
- Serve communities and households most in need
- Engage the community
- Experiment with new building materials or site design
Next Steps:
- Grounded Solutions Network staff will notify all respondents by Friday, September 15. If you are selected to make a “pitch” at the conference, you will be asked to prepare a three-minute presentation.
- All conference attendees will help make a “Voters Choice” award at the IGNITE! Community Pitch Fest on Wednesday, October 11 from 8:45—10:15 AM.
